Fall is in the air in Costa Mesa - and Miraval Mesa Verde is at the heart of it all! Locals often say that autumn is their favorite season here in Coastal Orange County and it’s hard to disagree, with perfect weather, no crowds, the kids back in school, and the holidays just around the corner. To celebrate the start of the season, here’s our Miraval Mesa Verde short list of fall must-dos in and around Costa Mesa:
Hit the Beach
Fall is one of the most wonderful times to enjoy the beach - which is just a five-minute drive from your home at Miraval Mesa Verde! The days are still warm enough to enjoy the sun, the nights perfect for a beach bonfire, and there are no crowds. Don't forget the dog! Huntington’s Dog Beach is a great way to spend a fall day and, when you’re done. Miraval’s specially designed mudrooms make it easy to get sandy pups clean.
Shop the Harvest
Costa Mesa is home to fabulous farmers’ markets, full of fall’s bumper crop of fruits, vegetables and more! On Thursdays, visit the OC Farm Bureau’s market at the Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, from 9am to 1pm. Then, spend a Saturday morning at SOCO (3315 Hyland Ave.), where the award winning SOCO Farmers’ Market is open 9am to 2pm. Pair your market trip with a free cooking demo at Pirch, or a fun cooking class at Surfas Culinary District, or enjoy breakfast or lunch at one of the destination’s famed eateries.
See a Show
Miraval Mesa Verde in Costa Mesa is one of the few places in the world where you can live within minutes of the beach…and Broadway! Now is the time to get your tickets to a performance at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, which is offering an autumn lineup ranging from The Godfather Live in Concert to Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
